Joe Wilson, PH.D.,CISSP is a technology and cybersecurity evangelist for
critical infrastructure protection in small, medium and large organization. As a
technology evangelist, Dr. Wilson is passionate about promoting the adoption
and use of information technology standards and measurements in public and
private organizations. Dr. Wilson’s business mantra is helping companies establish
context and strategy for the adoption and use of industry level IT standards and
measurements. This is accomplished through talks, articles, blogging, user-
demonstrations, recorded demonstrations, and the creation of sample project. Dr.
Wilson is an active participant with the National Institute Of Standards and
Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, MD. In practice, Dr. Wilson is the owner and
CEO of Filmore Security, LLC, Filmore Security delivers professional services and
engineering support to businesses pursuing regulatory and industry-level
compliance. Compliance models includes ISO 27002, NIST-800, GLBA, HIPPA.
HITRUST, PCI-DSS, Neveda NRS 603a, Massachusetts 201 CMR 17,00 and
Red Flags Rule. Dr. Wilson’s principal areas of research are in cybersecurity
frameworks developments, policy creations, and privacy engineering. Wilson has
been an associate college professor for 14 years and an IT systems engineer for 15
years. Dr. Wilson currently teaches cybersecurity “Ethics, legal issues and policy”
at Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA). He is a member of the Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for Internationals Educators.
